Jack Layman is the Co-Founder of Commercial Roof Brokers Group (CRBG), where he helps lead the company’s strategy, growth, and continued development as a national commercial roofing procurement and advisory platform.
Jack’s entrepreneurial journey began as a teenager when he built a lawn care company with his brother. After transitioning the business to his brother, he attended college, where he played football while completing a double major in business.
During his summers, he worked in commercial roofing, gaining firsthand experience in installation and field operations. Following college, he moved into roofing sales and management, developing a broader understanding of the industry and the challenges organizations face when making significant roofing investments.
In 2021, Jack co-founded CRBG with a vision to create a more consolidated, buyer-focused approach to commercial roofing. Since then, CRBG has grown from a startup into a national platform supporting nine-figure commercial roof portfolios and helping clients realize eight figures in lifetime savings.
Today, Jack focuses on advancing CRBG’s long-term strategy, developing its people and leadership, and building systems that allow the organization to deliver greater clarity, leverage, and accountability for its clients. He believes the best roofing decisions begin with an organization’s objectives, creating a clear strategy around which the right market partners and solutions can be aligned.
Outside of CRBG, Jack remains passionate about leadership, organizational development, and entrepreneurship. He and his wife are raising two daughters, and above all, his faith, marriage, and family remain the foundation of his life and leadership.
